Terms & cancellations

These terms cover online personal styling for customers in the United Kingdom.

Enquiries, bookings and payment
An enquiry or questionnaire does not create a paid booking. Alice first confirms availability, package scope, total price including any applicable tax, delivery arrangements and these terms by email. Payment is by bank transfer using the details Alice sends privately by email. No payments are processed through this website.
The service contract is formed when payment is received following Alice’s written offer. The delivery timeframe starts once both payment and the completed questionnaire have been received. Alice emails a booking confirmation and a copy of the agreed terms that you can keep.
Your styling edit
The Main Event (£80): one complete occasion outfit with shoes, bag, accessories and shopping links. Back to Basics (£195): 10–12 recommended essentials and at least 10 outfit combinations, with shopping links and ideas for existing pieces. Existing pieces must be shared and discussed with Alice before the edit begins. The Holiday Edit (£295): 7 daytime and 7 evening combinations for a 7 day trip, using repeat pieces, travel outfit suggestions, shopping links and a packing checklist. Bespoke scope and price are agreed in writing.
Each package includes a digital lookbook and up to two rounds of amendments within the original brief after your lookbook has been delivered. Please request each amendment round by email within 48 hours of receiving that version of your lookbook, with changes grouped into one message. This request window does not limit your statutory rights if the service is not provided properly. Amendment requests are typically turned around within 5–7 working days. A new occasion or substantial change of brief may need a separate quote, agreed before any extra charge.
Delivery and shopping
Allow 7–14 working days after both payment and your completed questionnaire are received. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays applicable to the business. Any specific deadline must be agreed with Alice before payment. If a delay arises, Alice will contact you to discuss your options.
Clothes and accessories are extra and purchased separately from retailers. Stock, prices and fit can change. Retailer terms apply to those purchases. Styling recommendations do not guarantee a particular fit or retailer availability, and do not limit your rights regarding Alice’s service.
Your 14 day cancellation right
If you want work to start within the 14 calendar day cancellation period, Alice will ask you to reply expressly to her booking email before she begins. This request is separate from submitting your questionnaire or making payment. If you do not request an early start, work begins after the cancellation period; Alice will agree the resulting delivery dates with you before payment.
For a UK distance service contract, you normally have 14 days after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Email Alice with a clear statement that you wish to cancel; the model form below is optional.
Alice will not begin during that period unless you expressly request an early start. If you cancel after requesting an early start, a proportionate charge for work actually supplied may apply where the required information has been provided. You lose the cancellation right after full performance only where you expressly requested the early start and acknowledged that consequence. Sending a questionnaire alone is not an early-start request or a waiver of your rights.
Where a cancellation refund is due, it will be made within 14 days of being informed of the cancellation, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without a refund fee. After the statutory period, contact Alice about cancellation or rescheduling; any additional policy must be agreed before payment. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule.
Sending the first lookbook does not automatically mean the full service, including the agreed amendment entitlement, has been completed. Statutory rights concerning the quality of the service remain unaffected.
Refund policy
Each styling edit is personally created around your brief. If you cancel after expressly requesting that work starts during your 14-day cancellation period, you may be charged proportionately for work already completed, provided the required cancellation and charging information was supplied before booking.
We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds once the full service has been completed and your statutory cancellation right has ended. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Please read this alongside the cancellation terms above. Full completion includes the agreed amendment entitlement; delivery of the first lookbook alone does not automatically end your cancellation rights.
Use of client lookbooks
off the hanger. may share genuinely anonymised outfit layouts from lookbooks on our website, social media and promotional materials. We remove names and any details that could identify you, including personal photos, measurements, event details and private links. Removing a name alone is not enough if someone could still recognise you.
If you would prefer your lookbook not to be used, email offthehangerstyling@outlook.com before or at booking, or at any later time. We will respect your request and stop future use, and remove material we control where reasonably possible.
Your name, personal photos or any identifiable or attributed lookbook content will only be used with separate, specific permission. Purchasing a package does not give that permission. You can decline without affecting your service and withdraw permission for future use at any time by email. We will only publish images we have the necessary rights to use.
Gift vouchers
Vouchers are issued after payment and must be redeemed by booking within 6 months of purchase. The exact expiry date will be shown on the voucher. The styling delivery date is agreed separately, subject to availability. The gift covers styling, not clothes or accessories. Bespoke gift details are agreed before purchase.
Vouchers are non-transferable and must be used by the named recipient. No discretionary extensions or exceptions to the six-month booking deadline are offered. The cancellation and refund rights described above apply where required by law. If Alice cannot offer a reasonable opportunity to redeem within the validity period, contact her to arrange a fair resolution. Nothing here removes statutory cancellation or refund rights.
Problems and your rights
Email Alice if something is wrong so she can try to resolve it. Services must be provided with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where applicable, you may be entitled to repeat performance or a price reduction. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or affect your statutory rights. Any governing-law clause must preserve the mandatory protections and court rights available to consumers in their UK home nation.
